"Mann", German wall regulator in the Alt Deutch style, beautifully cleaned and polished. "Mann", German wall regulator in the Alt Deutch style, beautifully cleaned and polished. Ca late 1800's. Elegant, solid, 38 inch walnut case, carved half turned columns, carved crest with shield accent. Lots of intricate carvings, moldings, turnings A dry split in board covering the dial. I didn't attempt any repairs. Original wavy glass on front door and full length side glasses. Easy access to the movement.Movement is 8 day, striking half hour and hours on one long rod. The movement is mounted on metal brackets that are signed "C.G.". The movement is signed "Mann", plus their crown trademark, and a serial number, "87342". Porcelain dial ring, brass inner dial with identical matching design of the pendulum bob. Carved fretwork around the lower glass.
