English Bracket Clock, triple chain fusee, Westminster Chime on 8 bells. Large 8 day, solid plate movement Brass dial is 10 1/2 inches high and 8 1/2 inches wide, dial ring has raised numerals that are etched and painted. Finely etched dial center, 3 subsidiary dial rings also raised and etched Those dials are, "Strike-Silent", "Slow-Fast", and "Chime on Eight Bells-Westminster". Strikes a large gong on the hours. The remainder of the dial is covered with cast ornaments. Dial is marked for 60 minutes on the outside ring.Beautifully grained mahogany case is 21 inches high, 16 1/2 inches wide. There is a small inlay pattern of burl and pearl, on the top and sides. A few small insignificant chips around the cornice top. Beveled glass, ivory escutcheon for the door lock and the side windows have a heavy brass curtain. There are 4 turned feet, full solid back door with a lock, the correct pendulum, old door key and winding key. The clock was recently serviced and is in good working condition.
