Catalog Description:

Ansonia Clock Co., figure clock, "Don Juan", ca 1894. Possibly the most produced of the Ansonia statues. Used often with the "Don Caesar" on double statue clocks. This one is complete, original, has been painted with a gold-brass colored paint. The case is nice enough to spend a few dollars on to have cleaned and refinished. Case is 22 inches high, 20 inches wide. Back door and pendulum are correct. 8 day movement strikes half hours. 2 piece porcelain dial with open escapement, correct brass hands, beveled glass, French sash, all excellent. Identical in every respect to the clock pictured in Ly-Ansonia No.466.
