Hamburg American Clock Company (HAC)

Catalog Description:

Hamburg American wall regulator in a free swinger type case, where the pendulum is hanging behind a glass door. 8 day, spring, strike, and running. The top is a broken arch style, spindles below the pendulum door, fancy trim on the top door. The case has a good original finish, only minor wear around the door latch. A one inch square applied decoration has been replaced. Nice brass pendulum, dial center, and dial ring. Wall levelers and old winding key included. A label on the back says only, "911". Perfect cream porcelain dial is 5 inches, with fleur-de-leis in red between the Roman numerals. The center of the dial is marked with a crossed arrows trademark of "Hamburg Amerikanische". Ca 1900. An almost identical clock is shown in Rick Ortenburger's book, "Vienna Regulators and Factory Clocks", page 109.
