Catalog Description:

C.1860, American Clock Co., 55 John St., New York, 30-hour painted iron front clock with mother-of-pearl inlay. The iron front has cast into the back "No. 1 F. S. Otis Patent. N.Y., 1857". The front has a painted scene, pearl inlay, decorative lining and painted cast iron grape leaves and flowers. The paper dial (worn and stained) is original as is the 1859 patent bezel. However, the present movement is not the original and does not align exactly with the key holes. The hands and pendulum bob are new. Height 17.5.
