Catalog Description:

French Figural Clock featuring two nicely detailed spelter statues of German Shepherd dogs, one reclining and one standing. One dog is signed "Made in France" plus other words that I am unable to read. The dogs are ona marble base of brown tones designed to form four steps. Total dimensions are 17-1/2 inches wide, 21-1/2 inches high. 8 day round, bell strike movement is signed, "C J" above an anchor. The one piece porcelain dial, hands, French sash, and heavy beveled glass, all near perfect. Rear bezel with glass dust cover. This is a very heavy clock weighing 60 pounds and although difficult to carry or ship from hither to yon, has survived without any breakage to the case. I am sure if you examine it close you may find a chip somewhere. The clock is running and striking.
