France Shelf Figural Garnitures

Catalog Description:

French marble statue clock, and 2 side pieces. Movement made, andsigned by, "Horlogerie, Paris". This company was making movements around1930, according to the Trademark book. The clock sure looks much older. Thisis an 8 day, bell strike, outside count, typical French movement. The statuaryis signed by "Francois Moreau". The 4 cast metal feet on each of the 3 pieces, are identical, and in good condition. The 3 legs and feet holding the urnside pieces are lions paws. Castings of flowers and misc. items on the sidepieces. Note that a piece of marble is missing below the clock dial. It appearsto me there are 3 choices. 1- Take the strip of marble from the back andput it on the front. 2- Have a local craftsman put in a new piece of marble. We have such a person in this town. It would probably cost $100-$200. 3- Turnthe clock around on the base facing the other way. It is too nice to do nothing. French sash, beveled glass, porcelain dial with a hand painted garland offlowers, French hands, all excellent. A metal plaque below the clock reads, "Idylle Printanhere, Par Francois Moreau (Med. D'Or)". I ranthe clock long enough to know there is nothing wrong with the movement. Itis dirty, but ticks and strikes. All 3 pieces need a good cleaning inside and out. Main clock case is 17 inches long, 13 inches high.
