Catalog Description:

E. Ingraham and Co. early mantle clock, "Arch Column No. 1", ca 1860. Elias Ingraham experimented with several models of the Arch Columnand Venetian cases, in the 1850's before forming E. Ingraham and Co. withhis son, in 1860. He must have had a thing with circles, his catalogs arefull of clocks with circular glasses, rosettes, etc. this rare and earlyclock has an 8 day movement, strikes half hours on a coil gong, and is runningvery strong. The 17" mahogany veneer case couldn't be better for the age.A skinned place or two, dark old original finish, beautiful gold gilt halfcolumns, original glasses, dial, and a large complete label. It may not bemuseum quality but it is collector quality. Ly-Ingraham page 257, identicalto that clock. Was selling over $600 several years ago.
