Ithaca Calendar Clock Co. "Box Skeleton", ca 1898. This is the standard double dial Box Skeleton in a walnut case with ebony trim. Near mint perfect in original condition. Most important is the full gold label on the floor of the case. The 24" high case has the original finish, never cleaned in anyway. This clock came from an elderly lady in Indiana who said it had always been in her family home. She took it to a repair shop because it didn't run. All it needed was a spring. We bought it when we realized it was near perfect.There is a note on the case that says "Gib Henry, Columbus, Indiana 1899".The nickel frame movement is 8 day time and strike, running great, strikes a nickel bell above the time movement. The silver cast iron dials have black numerals, paint still very strong. Excellent black rollers on the calendar movement. Pin push door locks are intact and working. If you collect rare clocks and require originality, this is the finest we have seen. One recentlysold in Bob Schmitt's auction for $18, 600, and it did not have a label.
