Barraclough

Catalog Description:

C.1840, English Tall Clock, 30-Hour, Painted dial, in generally good condition. Note that although the movement may be original to the case, the risers have been cut about an inch and an extra 1" seat board added to raise the movement in the case. You will want to make a single and substantial seatboard for long term use. Otherwise the movement is clean and running, the colorful painted dial signed Barraclough, Haworth, and with calendar gear intact, but missing actuation pin. Note flake on dial inside seconds ring (at dial foot). Hands are original. With attractive floral corners and a farm with cows + 2 people in the arch. (quite pastoral). Metal finial on hood is recent. Some loose moldings on case, door with a vertical crack, and rear feet are missing. Crotch mahogany veneer is attractive; clock has lots of potential. Height 91 inches
