Catalog Description:

C.1909, Seth Thomas Clock Co., "Empire No. 40", 8-day time/strike crystal regulator. The clock is in clean unrestored condition. One of the glass side panels and the lower edge of the front door panel have chips. The porcelain dial is perfect and the hands are original. The clock has an old two-vial mercury pendulum. Note this model uses the patent R. Kaiser round 15 day movement, that was America's best effort to replicate the French movements so popular in crystal regulators. This clock is running and striking. Height 8.75 inches
