Catalog Description:

C.1884, F. Kroeber, NY, "NOISELESS ROTARY No.1" in very good condition, with original dial, hands, bottom label and pendulum. The old dome is a near perfect fit, about a half inch larger than the original in diameter, but it fits well within the outside edge of the base and looks as good as the original. For details, see Tran Duy Ly's American Clocks, volume 1, page 157, figure 541. This is an 8-day, time and strike clock, merchandised by Kroeber as: "Attractive and useful, totally noiseless in the escapement, ebony case, nickel pendulum, with glass shade". This model was designed to look like a derrick, with mechanism below and the pendulum suspended from the top of the derrick. Height 21 inches
