Austria Wall

Catalog Description:

C.1895, Austrian, 3-Wt Grand Sonnerie, in a 2nd Baroque walnut case, and with original pattern on dial center, weights and pendulum. The well made Viennese movement has an oversize dial, cream colored, with fancy red wreath decorations. The movement bears serial number 3833, with coiled wire gongs, and strikes the hours and quarters. Note the movement is raised in the case back on an old block that has been there from the start (no extra holes). By this point in time, case makers would have worked in advance and made the cases a little extra deep to accommodate whatever movement depth the Uhrmacher came up with. The walnut case has a few nicks and scrapes, but is overall very good with lots of "look". Height 58 inches
