Catalog Description: C.1910, English, ORIENTAL, bronze desk clock with wooden frame and chinoisserie decorations on the frame and a Chinese tapestry design in the dial center. The round English movement is a copy of a French movement, and is stamped: "English Movt with French Escapm't". It has a 7 jewel Paris make platform, intact and running. 8-Day. The outer frame is missing much of the gesso and painted decorations. Interestingly, this clock must certainly have inspired Chelsea's all bronze model of the same configuration. Height 8 inches |
