France Wall Wag On Wall

Catalog Description:

French Morbier, ca 1850-1860. 8 day, verge escapement, strikes 1 time on half hours, and number of hours on the hour, then repeats at 5 minutes after the hour. I set it up and it ran, then the cable broke. You will need to restring. Has the 2 old iron weights. Excellent 9 1/2 inch porcelain dial, signed "Kacheron, Romant ch-Thorins". Some small hairlines however would look fine if cleaned. Pressed brass dial surround; grapes, leaves, flowers, and has the same motif on the pressed brass pendulum. Accordion type pendulum, in 2 pieces. 60 inches top to bottom. The case has both metal side doors and a wall bracket for the clock to sit on. Note that both hands have "sunbursts". Strikes an iron bell on top of the case.
