A GEORGE III INLAID OAK PROVINCIAL LONGCASE CLOCK, indecipherable signature, first quarter 19th century. The painted dial with Roman numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial, vignettes of hunting dogs in the spandrels and a hunting scene in the arch, the hood with a swan-neck pediment raised on baluster-turned colonnettes, the trunk with an arched door flanked by chamfered stiles, the plinth with a sunken panel and bracket feet; inlaid throughout with crossbanding and neo-Gothic motifs in rosewood - 85 1/2 in (217 cm) high.
