France, Comtoise lantern clock, 8 day, time and strike with alarm, weight driven movement with verge escapement, thread suspension with rear-hanging pendulum in an iron post and plate frame, early faience dial with raised portions under each Roman numeral, outer ring with Arabic numerals every five minutes, two steel hands, brass alarm ring with Arabic numerals, topped by a cast brass fronton with image of the sun / Apollo flanked by two turned iron finials, all standing on tapered iron feet.
