Ansonia Clock Co. "Crystal Palace No. 1 Extra", ca. 1880.
A second No. 1 Extra, this one with
different figures and possibly the original dome.
The cast brass dial lacks the turquoise inpainting on the dial surround.
The dial itself is paper in good condition, signed and with the Ansonia logo.
The mirror is likely original and the clock is
mounted on a walnut or mahogany base, with an Ansonia label on the back.
The 8-day, time-and-strike movement is signed and running,
striking on a nickel bell, with an Ansonia pendulum.
Nothing not to like here.
