Ansonia Clock Co. Octagon lever, 6 in, ca. 1880.
An 8.5-inch diameter case with rosewood veneer
in good shape.
The glass in the bezel is beveled; the dial has the original paint with some touch-up, cracking, and chipping.
The hands are probably replacements.
The movement is signed and includes an hourly strike; I think it is an 8-day movement,
it is running and striking on cue.
There is a label on the back with considerable losses.
