Antique American Clocks
Thomas Bostock bracket timepiece, ca. 1840's.
An 18-inch tall bracket timepiece in walnut veneer
with applied carvings on the front.
There are some filled cracks to the veneer on the top and front below the dial.
8-inch painted metal dial is signed "BOSTOCK, Sandbach"; Bostock was a watch and clockmaker in the first half of the 19
in Sandbach, a town north of Birmingham in England.
There is a flat glass in the bezel and two side glasses, as well as a glass
on the back door.
A key unlatches the bezel.
The thick plate brass fusee movement is unsigned; it is running like a champ.
