Antique American Clocks
English? grandmother clock,
A 51.25-inch oak case with beaded trim, twisted columns
on the dial door, a domed glass over the silvered dial and a beveled glass in the trunk door.
The finish is clean with a patina
that indicates some age.
The dial is in good condition, the hands are likely original.
The movement was not removed from
the case; it plays Westminster chimes on four straight rods and counts the hours on two rods.
There is a cylinder-style pendulum
and the clock runs briefly; the hourly strike is frozen but the chimes play.
There is no label to be found.
A little help
should get this girl running.
