English octagon drop, ca. 1880?
A 28.5-inch English-style drop octagon veneered in burled mahogany
with cross-banding and carvings below the dial.
The finish is clean, there is an 11-inch painted metal dial in good condition
behind a convex glass, with fancy hands.
The 8-day, time-only, fusee movement is running.
The fusee cord has been replaced.
There is a door at the bottom to access the pendulum, and doors on both sides of the movement.
No label and the movement is
unsigned, as is typical.
