Antique American Clocks
English skeleton clock, ca. 1880?
I see no indication of a maker on this 13-inch uncomplicated skeleton
clock (16 inch with dome).
The pierced dial is silvered with black Roman numerals, the hands seem mismatched and inappropriate,
but easily replaced.
The single-fusee movement is running once carefully leveled.
The brass skeleton and marble base are
in fine condition, the glass dome is cracked on one side but stable and probably glued together.
As the cracks are at the bottom
side, they are not very distracting.
