Unsigned French figural mantel clock, ca. 1870.
A green marble base with brass trim supporting a
female figure playing a mandolin with a bird on her shoulder, 26 inches high.
The statue has the original bronze finish with
no breaks or missing pieces; the brass trim pieces on the base have been lacquered.
The marble needs to be cleaned but I see
no cracks or chips.
A decorated porcelain dial behind a beveled flat glass.
The unsigned time-and-strike movement with
external count wheel is running and striking on a bell without problem.
