This cabinet clock is not shown in Ly's book on Gilbert
clocks, nor is it found in his supplement.
It looks to me to be from around 1920, but it could be earlier.
The 14.5-inch
wooden case is painted and decorated with applied pieces and carved trim.
The signed celluloid dial is yellowed; it sits behind
a convex glass.
The 8-day time-and-strike movement is not signed from the back; it is running and striking perfunctorily.
If this clock case could be cleaned I think it would be quite attractive.
