E. Howard & Co. "No. 58 Regulator",
A 40-inch walnut case in clean condition;
the dial glass is likely original, the lower glass newer.
The back left top finial has been replaced.
The painted metal
dial is a bit rough and soiled, the Howard signature is barely evident.
The hands are correct.
The movement is signed
and numbered "5" and is running without problem.
A nice, damascened bob.
The weight is not correct, the only serious drawback
here (the pendulum tie-down is missing the clip).
AAC sold a very similar example in 2020 for $3600.
