Chauncey Jerome miniature keyhole wall clock, ca. 1841-1845.
Chauncey Jerome made these clocks
under his own name, likely when he had clock factories in Bristol and New Haven; most have a New Haven label.
Unfortunately,
this one has no label at all.
The case is 16 inches tall, grain-painted to resemble rosewood.
Both glasses are old, the
tablet original and this is the only example (of the four others that I can find) that has a floral image rather than a gilt decoration.
The painted dial is also likely original, with period hands.
The 8-day, time-only brass movement is not signed.

Three of the sales that I could find were in 2016 for $1400, $800, and $2300.

A collector has
kindly provided me with picture of the label from his clock, which can be printed and pasted into this clock if you like.  While
I do not like copied labels (they can fool me), I understand the reasons for wanting to add a label to this clock.  The winning
bidder is welcome to contact me for the image.
