Antique American Clocks
Chauncey Jerome four-day steeple, 1845-1855.
A 22.5-inch sharp gothic veneered in walnut(?)
with a modern dial glass and a period/original milk-glass tablet in good shape.
The flat metal dial has been repainted, the
hands are modified replacements not correct to style.
This clock is unusual because it holds a four-day movement as indicated
on the label.
The time-and-strike movement is signed under the mainstem; note the large winding drums.
It is running and
The label has a small loss but is quite readable.
The pendulum looks to me to be from a later clock.
Can I return my clock if I don't like it?
Absolutely!
Save your packing and box, you have 30 days from receipt to return
it if you are unhappy.
If the clock is not as described, or I missed something important and that is not evident from the pictures,
I will refund your shipping costs (both ways) as well.
Find another auction company that does that!
