Just 14 inches tall in well-polished brass with white cartouche
numerals on the dial, fancy silver hands and a convex beveled glass in the sash.
The back sash also holds a convex glass.
There is a Roman soldier sitting on top with a spear in his right hand and a shield by his left.
The pendule de Paris movement
has an outside count wheel and the S Marti logo.
It is running and striking on the hours and half-hours.
Here's a trick
to setting a French clock in beat:
loosen slightly the two screws in the back that hold the movement in place and turn the movement
from the front just a bit while listening to the beat; when it is even tighten the screws down.
