Antique American Clocks
Seth Thomas carved column & cornice,
A 29-inch case on carved paw feet and turned
feet in the back, with carved half-columns and splat.
The carvings are deep and elaborate, the mahogany veneer is in good shape.
Both glasses are original, the tablet glass broken and secured.
The image is very well preserved.
The dial is clean and
unusual, the hands period, but the minute hand appears to be too short.
The 30-hour time-and-strike wooden movement is running
and striking assuredly, driven by two old weights.
There is a good label inside behind plastic.
