Antique American Clocks
Smith & Goodrich sub-miniature fusee OG, 1847-1852.
A 15.5-inch OG case with walnut
veneer on the sides and rosewood veneer on the front.
Both glasses are old and likely original, as is the metal dial; the hands
are repaired replacements.
The 30-hour brass fusee movement is unsigned, running and striking the wire gong on the hour.
A very dark label inside.
The tablet here is very good; the whole darn clock is cute as a button.
Cottone's sold one in
2017 for $300.
