Antique American Clocks
North Attleboro-style "Keyhole" Regulator No. 5, ca. 1880.
The grain-painted case is 32 inches
long, the finish and good and the grain painting is clear on the sides as well as the bezel.
Both glasses are old but the upper
glass has been replaced, and the lower glass repainted in the standard Hatch-style.
The dial is old and dirty, the hands newer
replacements.
The 8-day, time-only movement is unsigned, the pendulum stick is likely a replacement, and perhaps the bob too.
The original weight shield has been replaced, and there is no tie-down.
This seems like a nice example.
It is running
$900-$1200.
