Antique American Clocks
Standing Jeweler's Regulator, ca. 1890.
A dark walnut case with an old glass in the door and
two side glasses.
The case sits on a matching base, total height is 75 inches; the two are separate pieces and it could be hung
on a wall without the base.
The 11.5-inch porcelain dial is in excellent condition but is missing the sweep seconds hand - the
post is there.
There is a brass weight and the usual jeweler's pendulum, both in need of some polish.
I can get the clock
to tick but not to run steady; the consignor says it is sensitive to positioning and will run without problem once its carefully leveled
in the base.
$500-$1000.
