Antique American Clocks
North Attleboro-style square-bottom banjo, ca. 1850.
A third example of this style of early
production banjo, this one with carved side-arms and unusual glasses.
An old and likely original painted iron dial in good shape,
held in place with L-turns, and period hands.
I have not seen this style of glasses before and assume they are old repaints.
The 8-day time-only movement is unsigned, as is typical, driven by an iron weight.
The pendulum bob is period, the eagle finial
The clock is running without issue.
