Antique American Clocks
Winterhalder hall clock,
The movement bears the Winterhalder Hans A.G. Uhrenfabrik "Hawina"
trademark, registered in 1925.
The pull-up weight-driven movement strikes the hours and half-hour on 5 chime rods with a nice
sound, driven by two fancy brass weights.
It is running without problem, 8 days on a winding.
The dark walnut case is
78 inches tall with old, beveled glass in the door and a convex glass over the brass dial.
The Winterhalder family were clockmakers
for 200 years but went out of business in 1937.
