Description

Ansonia Clock Co. “Rainbow”, ca. 1901. An 11.5-inch by 12.75-inch-wide porcelain case in Rich Green. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs, and no crazing, although the case could use a good cleaning. The gilding is still strong. The cream porcelain dial has a couple of noticeable cracks; it has the Ansonia logo in the middle and a visible escapement with steel pallets. There is a beveled glass in the bezel and an 8-day, time and half-hour strike Ansonia movement that is running and striking on a cathedral gong. $100–$200. Got a question?
