Description
F. Kroeber Clock Co. “China No. 31”, ca. 1898. A second example of this rare model, this one in white porcelain with rose highlighting. The porcelain shows crazing; the brass fittings are original with some wear and tarnish. The dial glass is flat, the paper dial is behind a brass mask and the hands are original. The 8-day time and half-hour strike movement is signed and is running and striking as expected. This one also originally came with side-piece vases (see Ly, Kroeber Clocks, page 377). A pretty clock. $100-$500.
