New Haven Clock Co. “Wardrop” lever banjo, ca. 1913. A 24-inch mahogany case with a brass eagle on top (it should be a wooden tear drop) and a reverse-painted tablet. The case is dark with some roughness; the dial glass is beveled and convex over a signed, silvered dial with some wear. The hands are correct. The 8-day, lever-spring movement is not signed and will not run for more than a minute. There is some flaking to the tablet, with much lifting. $10–$25.
