Terry Clock Co. miniature cottage, 1867-1880. A miniature cottage from S.B. Terry, here in his last business venture with his four sons. This is an updated version of his ladder movement; the 10.25-inch case is no longer papered but instead appears to be walnut or a stained hardwood, with a molded door frame; this one has a clearcoat added more recently. The glasses are old, but the patterned tablet may be a repaint. The painted dial has green spandrel decorations and replaced hands. The unsigned 30-hour, time-only ladder movement is running and there is a good Terry Clock Co. label inside. $75-$150.
