Description

Waterbury Clock Co. 30-hour round gothic, ca. 1875. A 19-inch case in mahogany veneer, dark but with a polished finish. The dial glass, and likely the lower glass are original, with a lithograph tablet that has significant losses, depicting a boat on a lake with a large church on the hill behind it. There are cows on the left and a woman and child on the right. The metal dial is discolored and the numbering strengthened, the hands are period. The 30-hour time-and-strike movement is signed and running, striking on a wire gong. A good label inside. $25–$100.
