Description
Waterbury Clock Co. steeple, ca. 1860. A 20-inch steeple with rosewood veneer and a clean finish, with two original glasses and a well-preserved patriotic tablet. The metal dial has been repainted and lacquered, giving it an aged look. The hands are appropriate. The 8-day, time and half-hour strike movement is a replacement and is stamped E Ingraham; it is running and striking on a wire gong but will probably need service/bushing before long. An alarm was removed, probably when the movement was changed. There is a good Waterbury label on the back wall. $25–$75.
