Description

Waterbury Clock Co. “Victoria”, ca. 1893. The finish on this 40-inch oak case is spectacular, matching the catalog description of a “cabinet finish”. The door glass looks original, the signed paper dial has a glossy finish and some wear, the hands are correct. The Waterbury 8-day, time-only movement is running easily with a proper Waterbury pendulum stick and polished bob; this model also came as a time-and-strike. There is an unreadable black Waterbury label inside on the bottom and a Waterbury key. AAC sold one not quite as nice in 2023 for $600. This is an uncommon model. $400–$750.
